When I first launched Jane Peng Art, I’d made a promise to myself that as soon as I could, I would start donating a portion of my art sales each year to a cause I deeply believe in: fighting climate change and protecting our planet for future generations. It’s a cause I’ve believed in since I was a child (there’s a funny little story there; you can read about it here on my Sustainability page
The climate crisis and the rapid loss of biodiversity is something I’ve seen with my own eyes - from the deteriorating coral reefs in Southeast Asia to the destabilising habitats of Antarctica, these are just a fraction of the environmental threats we've created.
Thanks to your amazing support last year, I’ve had the chance to work on this part of my business far earlier than I anticipated. In January 2021, I signed an agreement with World Land Trust
to support their work through annual donations of US$2,200 from Jane Peng Art. The first donation was made last month and I’m just ecstatic that I can bring joy to people's homes and lives
through my art and also support the critical need to preserve our world.
One of the most prominent supporters of World Land Trust is Sir David Attenborough. The Trust's scope of work is amazing - there are highly practical programmes that protect and restore deforested areas, and others that manage nature reserves on an ongoing basis and employ and support local rangers to help protect their wildlife as well.
The Campaign For a Better World here on Jane Peng Art was launched to further my hopes of supporting the work that World Land Trust does. Between March and April, I will donate to World Land Trust 20% of all sales proceeds from paintings in this campaign's collection
(shown below). Please get in touch here
if you see a piece of artwork you'd like to acquire.
I would love to have you be part of this effort.
