Artist's Commentary
First Breath captures the duality of a particular moment we have all experienced: that instant when a new dream or ambition flares within us, lighting our inner world with its bright hues of hope.

Yet that moment in which we dare to dream of a gilded world is also murky and shrouded in a fog of unknowns. This brave new world: how do we get there, and how long is the journey?

With little to guide us, we can only take a leap of faith, hoping that this future world will be as beautiful as we imagined through the fog.
